Starring Ramsey Nouah, Adunni Ade, Chidi Mokeme and a host of other familiar faces, Ordinary People brings together an impressive cast in a story filled with suspense, unexpected revelations and enough twists to keep viewers glued to their screens. The transitions between characters and their different realities are particularly enjoyable, gradually pulling the audience deeper into the story. Beyond the suspense, the series explores deception, loyalty, redemption and the complicated choices people make in their quest for survival. It also reminds us that sometimes, the people we think we know are carrying secrets we could never have imagined. Of course, Ordinary People has sparked conversations among viewers, especially those who prefer their Nollywood thrillers to wrap things up in more familiar ways. The series takes a different narrative direction, one that may leave some viewers wanting a more conventional conclusion. But for others, that unexpected turn is part of what makes the story interesting. For us, Ordinary People was a beautiful watch. The storytelling, the transitions and the performances made it an engaging experience, and I particularly enjoyed that it didn't feel compelled to follow the usual Nollywood formula. Sometimes, a story doesn't have to end exactly the way we expect it to for it to be worth telling. If you're in the mood for a Nigerian thriller packed with secrets, suspense and a cast that knows its business, Ordinary People is one to add to your Netflix watchlist.
