Super Eagles Arrive in Guinea-Bissau Ahead of AFCON 2027 Qualifier

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in Bissau ahead of Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying clash against Guinea-Bissau.

The Nigerian contingent arrived at Osvaldo Vieira International Airport on Sunday evening aboard a chartered ValueJet flight, following their 2-1 comeback victory over Madagascar in Uyo.

The team, led by head coach Eric Chelle, will face the Djurtus at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro on Tuesday, September 29, with kick-off scheduled for 5 p.m. Nigerian time.

Nigeria opened their Group L campaign with a win over Madagascar, while Guinea-Bissau also secured three points after defeating Tanzania 2-0.

Both sides will be seeking a second consecutive victory as they look to strengthen their position in the qualifying group.

The Super Eagles are expected to continue preparations in Bissau ahead of the encounter.
